Another project at the Eastern Balancing Reservoir. Here, RK Air is to install 4no manhole chambers and the connecting concrete pipework and push-fit ductile iron, in addition to a valve chamber that houses 2no 400mm actuated gate valves. The project includes all associated civil and temporary works systems. It will then be connected to the pipework on the bridge that RK Air installed earlier this year.
The manholes are connected beneath the main access road into the Eastern Balancing Reservoir. This requires night closures and night works to ensure that the project proceeds smoothly with minimal disruption to a busy site.
