A project to provide a northern boiler temporary connection to HTHW system within the services tunnel adjacent to Heathrow Terminal 3.
The RK Air works included freezing the existing pipe network using liquid nitrogen, cutting into the existing ductile iron pipes, welding new pipework and fittings, and transferring the new pipework system from the services tunnel up to ground level outside the main Terminal 3 Arrivals & Departure area.
Works were completed our of normal working hours, and with the minimum of disruption. The project was successfully handed back to HAL within the allocated shut-down period.
